Canada's Stewardship Agenda envisions a nation where Canadian's are actively working together to sustain our natural life-support systems. It identifies important goals and objectives for us to attain. Of the four priority objectives, one was to establish a Stewardship Network to facilitate collaboration among stewardship and another was to develop the Stewardship Canada portal as a support for this network -- an entry point for information, knowledge, contacts and resources related specifically to stewardship.
The Stewardship Network of Ontario is this province's collaborative network of stewardship organizations and this portal is part of the Stewardship Canada portal.
Branding
SNO is the acronym that represents the network of organizations.
SNO portal refers to the internet face of the organization and the entry point to the network of stewards in Ontario and the knowledge and services that these people provide for themselves.
